Marquette is home to a wonderfully diverse religious community.

 

Marquette's religious heritage can be seen all around town: in the beautiful twin towers of St. Peter's Cathedral that define the city's skyline, the ornate Tiffany stained glass of St. Paul Episcopal Church, the stately white limestone of the First Presbyterian Church.

 

Christian worship is represented by Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Lutheran, Methodist, Episcopalian, Presbyterian, Baptist and many other groups.

 

Temple Beth Shalom in nearby Ishpeming offers a monthly service with visiting rabbis.

 

Active Zen Buddhist, Nichiren Buddhist, Baha'i and Unitarian Universalist groups meet regularly in Marquette.  Muslims, Hindus and Quakers will also find a community of shared faith here.
